The Sound Analyser App: Revolutionizing Vehicle Diagnostics
The AI-based Sound Analyser app is designed to detect when a vehicle requires maintenance by comparing recorded car noises with a database of sound patterns. If discrepancies are found, the app determines the issue and suggests resolutions, significantly reducing time spent in garages and improving customer satisfaction.
Development and Implementation Across Europe
Developed by ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab, the app was initially launched as a pilot project in June 2019 with 245 ŠKODA dealers across 14 countries, including Germany. As the app continues to learn new sound patterns through AI, it achieves over 90% accuracy in identifying issues with components like steering systems and air conditioning compressors.
